The Story Behind Villa Chven: A Journey Rooted in Tradition and Passion

In Georgia, where winemaking is more than just a craft - it’s a way of life - Villa Chven was born out of a deep respect for tradition and an unshakable passion for the future of Georgian wine.

"Chven" means "us" in Georgian, and that is the essence of our philosophy - we create wines that bring people together, telling the story of Racha through every sip.

We bottled our first wines in 2022, producing seven different types, all of which are dry and made from indigenous Georgian grape varieties grown in Racha. Our goal is simple: to share the unique character of Racha’s wines with the world and to prove that Georgia can consistently produce wines that compete in quality with some of the best in the world.

Nestled in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, Villa Chven is more than just a winery. It is a testament to the resilience of Georgia’s ancient wine culture, shaped over 8,000 years of continuous winemaking. Here, in the mineral-rich soils and cool mountain air of Racha, we cultivate indigenous grape varieties like Aleksandrouli, Mujuretuli, Dzelshavi, and Tsolikouri, crafting wines that express the terroir-created character of this breathtaking region.
